OVERVIEW
PINC is the system with which Terre des Hommes manages the accounting of its international cooperation projects. Expenses incurred in different countries are registered in the payment currency and automatically converted into the project's reporting currency and in euros, applying the exchange rate valid on the competence date.
The system connects administrative activities in the field with the reporting carried out by the headquarters: it classifies expenses by budget line, checks the consistency of imputations, stores supporting documents, and produces the materials necessary for reporting.
Every modification remains tracked to allow subsequent verifications.

COMPOSITION
PINC is composed of a web application used via browser and a server that stores the data, applies accounting rules, and generates documents.
A background processing component handles longer operations, such as the recalculation of many expenses or the preparation of document packages, allowing users to continue working.
Structured data is stored in a relational database; attachments and produced documents reside in a separate remote storage space. A dedicated site also hosts the user manual complete with screenshots.
