OVERVIEW
ADEL Parking (SmartParkPay) is an app for iPhone and Android that allows motorists to pay for parking in blue-striped spaces in municipalities served by ADEL, directly from their phones.
The user locates the zone on the map, indicates the license plate and end time, pays by card, Google Pay, or Apple Pay, and receives a reminder before expiration. They can extend the parking time and, where applicable, end it early with a refund for the unused time.
The app connects to the ADEL platform for municipalities, zones, tariffs, and tickets; online payments are managed via Nexi XPay.
It is not necessary to create an account: the app recognizes the phone and associates the parking history and saved cards with the device. A web panel allows administrators to view payments and refunds and configure the connection with ADEL.

Where the service allows, the app calculates the time used and requests a refund of the remaining balance to the card.
Payments can be viewed by week, month, or custom period, with a PDF receipt for each parking session.

COMPOSITION
The system includes the app on the phone, a payment server developed by INMAGIK, and two external services: the ADEL platform and Nexi XPay. The app communicates only with the server, which coordinates parking data and transactions.
The server recognizes the municipality by location, creates the payment, receives the outcome from Nexi, and communicates it to ADEL. It calculates refunds and requests them through an automatic daily operation.
ADEL continues to manage municipalities, zones, tariffs, tickets, and receipts. Nexi manages payments and reversals. The server uses geographical data of Italian municipalities and is deployed in Docker containers with main and testing environments.
