In 2004, Bottaro Lab—a division of Bottaro 1924—became the first company in the Bergamo area within its sector to obtain authorization for the periodic verification of weighing instruments. The company continued on this path and eventually became an accredited calibration laboratory. Today, Bottaro Lab provides thousands of clients with services including periodic verifications, consulting, and analysis. It is accredited to issue certifications for mass standards and weights, perform periodic verification on legally controlled measuring instruments, and certify non-automatic weighing instruments.
For this client, a dedicated software solution was developed to manage calibration and periodic verification of non-automatic weighing instruments. The system is designed to minimize the time required for managing interventions and for carrying out legally mandated communications.
The cloud-based solution fully digitizes the process of managing calibration and verification activities. It is a web-based software that can be accessed with a simple internet connection and browser, featuring an intuitive and efficient interface tailored specifically to support this type of operation.
Customer and Scale Database
The software includes an optimized database for managing customers’ scale inventories. Customer management allows for the registration of multiple locations (local units), including all the identification data required for generating certifications via the Telemaco portal.
The same applies to scale data, which is easily accessible and can be filtered either by the associated customer or from a general list of all scales, with additional filtering options based on the expiration dates of periodic verifications.
Telemaco XML Generation
For periodic certification interventions, the software includes a feature for exporting data in XML format compatible with the Telemaco platform. This functionality significantly reduces the time required for mandatory communications.
Request Management and Intervention Scheduling
The system allows for the management of periodic verification requests and the scheduling of interventions, providing an always up-to-date overview of deadlines and planned activities at customer locations.
Intervention Database and Document Storage
All completed interventions, whether calibration or periodic verification, are always easily accessible within the platform, along with all related information and documentation.
